L. Mason Salter

  Services for Mr. L. Mason Salter, 77, of Natchitoches, were held
at 3 p.m., Sunday, December 14, at the First United Methodist
Church of Natchitoches, where he was a member. The Rev. James
Poole officiated. Burial was at Memory Lawn Cemetery in
Natchitoches, under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral
Home of Natchitoches.

  Mr. Salter died Friday, December 12, 1986, at Highland Hospital
in Shreveport. He was a native of Many. Mr. Salter was the owner
and founder of Mason Salter's Furniture Co.

  He is survived by his wife, Thyra Salter of Natchitoches; two
sons, Dr. Lowell Mason Salter, Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla., and
Stanely Warren Salter of Natchitoches; one daughter, Gloria Jean
Fenn of Norman, Okla.; two sisters, Titia Ford of Fremont,
Nebraska, and Ethel Hunt of Huffman, Texas; and six
grandchildren.
