  Minnie Salter - October 11, 1973

  Mrs. Minnie Simpson Salter, 86, of Heritage Manor Nursing Home,
died Thursday, Oct. 4, at 11:25 a.m. following a brief illness.

  A native of Many, Mrs. Salter had resided in Shreveport for the
past six years.

  Funeral services were held Saturday at 10 a.m. in Antioch
Baptist Church in Many with burial in Antioch Cemetery. Services
were under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.
Rose-Neath Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.

  Survivors include three sons, Homer Salter of Shreveport, Fred
Salter of Lufkin, Tex., and Monroe Salter of Many; 10
grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.
