Jackson Edward Salter

  26 Aug 1992 - Funeral services for Jackson Edward Salter, 75,
were held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 24, 1992 at Ebenezer Baptist
with the Rev. Marvin Miles and Rev. Earl Marr. Interment followed
at Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Warren
Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Salter died Saturday, August 22, 1992, at Sabine Medical
Center.

  He is survived by is wife, Audrey Salter of Florien; one son,
Jackson E. Salter, Jr of Pearland, Texas; two daughters, Bonita
Smith of Pearland, Texas and Beverly Henson of Thousand Oaks, CA;
one sister, Bonnie Blackett of Oceanside, CA; one brother, Ralph
(Pete) Salter of Sulphur; six grandchildren, and a host of nieces
and nephews.

  Pallbearers were Ty Salter, Darryl Anthony, Harlon Leach,
Herbert Leach, Stafford Miller, and Kevin Salter.

  Honorary pallbearers were Herman Mcconathy, Ben D. Peterson,
Victor Van Veckhoven, M. G. Anthony, and Johnnie Corley.
