Lety L. Slater

  Funeral services for Mrs. Lety L. Slater, 82, were held Sunday,
June 17, at 2 p.m., in Florien First Baptist Church. Interment
followed in the Florien Cemetery, under the direction of Warren
Meadows Funeral Home. Rev. Mack Brister officiated.

  Mrs. Slater died Tuesday, June 12, at Lake Charles Memorial
Hospital in Lake Charles.

  She is survived by one daughter, Laverne Dupree of Lake Charles;
one brother, Rufus Lee of Leesville; two grandchildren, Kay Key
of Lake Charles, and Sharon Ford of Houston, Texas; one great
grandchild, Hailey Kay Ford of Houston, Texas; and a host of
nieces and nephews.

  Pallbearers were Mack Brister Jr. Calvin Dale Miller Jr.,
Stewart Jordan, Sam Lucius, Don Salter, Jon Salter, Jason Lucius,
and Sidney Lucius Jr.
