The Sabine Index - July 20, 1988

  Roy Slater

  Mr. Roy Slater, 83, died at Heritage Manor in Natchitoches on
July 18, 1988.

  Services were held at Florien First Baptist Church on July 19 at
2 p.m. with Rev. Mack Brister officiating. Burial was at Florien
Cemetery under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors include his wife, Lety Slater of Florien; one
daughter, Laverne Dupree of Lake Charles; one brother, Hoy Slater
of Many; two granddaughters, Kay Key of Lake Charles and Sharon
Ford of Houston, Tx.; one great granddaughter, Hailey Ford of
Houston, Tx.
