Services were held at Warren Meadows Chapel, at 2 p.m., on July 18, with Dr. G. L. Higgins officiating. Mrs. Salter was born on August 24, 1910, in Sabine Parish, to George Edward Jordan and Annie Elizabeth McCollister Jordan. She married Ernest Edward Salter on January 27, 1941, in Sabine Parish, La. Survivors include two daughters, Gennell S. Christian of Lake Charles, La., and Elizabeth S. Hay of El Paso, Tex.; one sister, Annie Mae Calsbeck of Orange City, Iowa; four brothers, Johnnie L. Jordan, and Walter Jordan of Florien, La., Charlie Jordan of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Jefferson Jordan of El Paso, Tex.; five grandchildren, Tonya Walker, Rhonda Hay, Katherine Hay, Jacob Hay, and Nicholas Hay; one great grandson, Bradley Hay; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Gerald Jordan, Edward Jordan, J. H. Jordan, Donnie Jordan, Rodney Jordan, and Charles Jordan.
