She was born to Albert and Ada Edge on April 16, 1916, in the small east Texas town of Alto. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herman H. Salter; four brothers; and three sisters. Mrs. Salter was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood, and is survived by one daughter, Suzanne Baugus and her husband Bill of Kingwood; and two sons, Bob Salter (wife Carolyn), and Bill Salter (wife Marie), also of Kingwood. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Stacye Schilleci, Stephanie Watson, Shannon Robert, Jenifer Thornton, Chance Salter, Steve Salter; and nine great grandchildren. She was truly a gentle lady that positively affected all the lives that she touched. She will be missed by all those who knew her, but happily remembered. A Memorial Service was held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 5, at First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood. Dr. Robert R. Covington Jr. officiated. Interment was at 4 p.m., in Antioch Cemetery in Florien. Arrangements were under the direction of Kingwood Funeral Home. Kingwood Funeral Home, Kingwood, Texas.
