Frank Chance, and Rev. Versie Miller officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery, under the direction of Warren Funeral Home. Pallbearers were B. W. Cotton, J. D. Salter, Luther Funderburk, Howard Anthony, C. R. Anthony, and Tom Langton. Honorary pallbearers were Deacons of Antioch Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Betty Salter of Florien; three sons, Sid Salter of Denham Springs, Sherman Salter of the U. S. Army, Germany, Benny of the U. S. Air Force, Florida; four daughters, Mrs. Mavis Miller, and Mrs. Leona Carroll, both of Florien, Mrs. Aline Davis of San Antonio, Texas, Mrs. Syble Bush of Fisher; two brothers, V. H., and Ottis Salter, both of Zwolle; three step brothers, Lee Salter of Many, Victor Salter of Beaumont, and Julian Salter of Port Arthur; one sister, Mrs. Leona B. Anthony of Texarkana; 14 grandchildren.
