James Edward Salter

  James Edward Salter, 20, of Hawkins, Texas, died Oct. 17, 2002,
in Tyler Texas.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Oct. 20, at Beaty Funeral
Home Chapel in Hawkins, Texas, with interment following at
Hawkins Cemetery. Bro. Jimmy Evans officiated.

  Survivors include his parents, Dana and Terri Salter of Hawkins,
Texas; two sons, Triston Salter of Hawkins, Texas, and Lannon
Salter of Flint, Texas; grandparents, Mary Jo Salter of Florien,
and Dee Watkins of Beaumont, Texas; three brothers, D. J. Salter
of Hawkins, Texas, Larry Ray Salter of Hawkins, Texas, and Rickey
Dale Strickland of Beaumont, Texas; two stepbrothers, Bryan, and
Jason Barnett of Gladewater, Texas; one sister, Kristi Strickland
of Beaumont, Texas; and one stepsister, Sherri Trueblood of Big
Sandy, Texas.

  Pallbearers were Kyle Lewis, Chad Lewis, Wade Johnson, J. W.
Johnson, Nathan Casteele, and Michael Hill. Honorary pallbearers
were Bryan Barnett, and Jason Barnett.
