Mrs. Scott Salter

  Last rites for Mrs. Scott Salter, age 84, who died at Monroe
April 30, was conducted at Zion Hill Baptist Church at 10 a.m.,
Friday, May 2, with Rev. V. R. Miller, and Rev. Billy Jackson
officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Funeral Home.

  Surviving relatives are one son, J. S. Salter of Negreet;
daughters, Mrs. Emma Childress of Houston, Mrs. H. L. Wright of
Robstown, Tex., Mrs. E. D. Gandy of Pampa, Tex., Mrs. George
Eckert of San Antonio, Mrs. Marie White of West Monroe; sisters,
Mrs. G. D. Cox of Quitman, Ark., Miss Ethel Ford, and Miss Alma
Ford, both of Sinton, Tex.; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great
grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Alvin Curtis, Nathan Wright, N. F. Nabours, J.
D. Gregory, Amos Carter, and George Salter.
