Sliman Sr. Funeral services for L. N. Sliman Sr., 54, of Natchitoches were held in Warren Meadows Funeral Chapel Friday, Aug. 24, at 10 a.m. The Rev. Percy Tibbitts officiated and burial was in Many Cemetery under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Sliman died Aug. 22 at 1 p.m. in a Coushatta hospital after a long illness. A native of Many, Mr. Sliman served in the Infantry during World War II, and was wounded. He lived in Shreveport from 1959 until his retirement in 1970 when he moved to Natchitoches. He operated grocery and liquor stores in Shreveport. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Winnie Sliman of Natchitoches; two sons, Jamiel Sliman of Many and L. N. Sliman Jr. of Houston; a daughter, Mrs. Johnnie Bell Davis of Many; two sisters, Mrs. Ray Lovelady of Many and Mrs. Luke Minor of Houston and four grandchildren.
