All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** The Sabine Index - August 3, 1988 Jamiel "Slick" Sliman Services were conducted at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 8801 Mansfield Rd. for Mr. Jamiel "Slick" Sliman, 48, of Shreveport at 10 a.m. Monday, August 1. The Rev. Bill Carr, pastor of Huntington Park Church of the Nazarene officiated. Interment was at Centuries Memorial Park. Mr. Sliman entered into rest Thursday, July 28, 1988 at Schumpert Medical Center. He was a native of Many, La. and had been a Shreveport resident for 25 years. He was a member of the American Paint Horse Association. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Loretta McFerren Sliman of Shreveport; his mother, Sadie Baker of Los Angeles, Calif.; two daugthers, Sadie Linson and her husband Jack, and Shanda Sliman, all of Shreveport; two sons, Gary Sliman and his wife, Kathy, of Bakersfield, Calif., Brady Sliman of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three sisters, Linda Morrill of Covina, Calif., Ruth Gustin of Los Angeles, Calif., Johnnie Belle Dean of Greenfield, Missouri; one brother, L. N. Sliman Jr. of Hemphill, Texas; one grandson, A. J. Linson; one granddaughter, Jessica Sliman. Pallbearers were Bill Bugg, Max Teasley, John Fobbs, Henry Anderson, Ken Campbell, Byron Spinks, Ronnie Mulford, Jim Stanley. Honorary Pallbearers: Employees Haliburton. Memorials may be made to the Huntington Park Church of the Nazerene Building Fund.
