J. R. Shoalmire 
  
  Johnnie Robert Shoalmire, 87, died Thursday, Feb. 8. 
  
  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, in the 
Converse Baptist Church, with the Rev. Walter Haley, the Rev. 
Roach, and the Rev. Alvin Strother officiating. Burial was in the 
Oak Grove Cemetery, under the direction of the Drewett Funeral 
Home. 
  
  Survivors include his wife; four sons, Earnest Shoalmire of 
Natchez, Miss., J. L. Shoalmire of Mansfield, J. Robert Shoalmire 
of Shreveport, and Sam Shoalmire of Mansfield; four daughters, 
Mrs. Eula Bollen of Converse, Mrs. Opal Sandifer of Alamogordo, 
N. M., Mrs. Odessa Graham of Kenai, Alaska, and Mrs. Ann Sistrunk 
of New Orleans; 18 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ann McGaha of 
Longview, Tex., and Mrs. Lydia Brown of Tioga.
