Mrs. Jessie Shoalmire

  Mrs. Jessie S. Shoalmire, 74, of Converse, died Saturday
morning, June 10, in a Shreveport hospital, after a sudden
illness.

  Services were held on Sunday, June 11, at 3 p.m., in the
Fellowship Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ray Penfield, and Jimmie
Lilley officiating. Burial followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

  Mrs. Shoalmire is survived by four sons, Gandy Shoalmire Jr. of
Converse, R. O. Shoalmire of Keithville, and C. R. Shoalmire, and
C. E. Shoalmire, both of Shreveport; three daughters, Louise
Elliott of Shreveport, Mrs. Tom Brooks of Bridge City, Texas, and
Mrs. Walter Copeland of Grand Prairie, Texas; three brothers, J.
B. Sherwood, Sidney Sherwood, and William Sherwood, all of
Converse; one sister, Juanita Sherwood of Converse; 18
grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
