J. L. Shoalmire

  J. L. Shoalmire, 67, died Monday night, Nov. 6, in a Mansfield
hospital, after a long illness.

  The funeral was at 3 p.m., Wednesday, at Drewett Funeral Home
Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Leger Tremblay officiating. Burial
was in Carmel Cemetery near Mansfield.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Seawillow Rambin Shoalmire of
Mansfield; five sons, J. L. Shoalmire Jr. and Bobby Laffitte,
both of Shreveport, Wayne Shoalmire of Bossier City, and Issac
Laffitte, and Jamie Laffitte, both of Mansfield; his mother, Mrs.
Ethel Shoalmire of Converse; two brothers, R. R. Shoalmire of
Shreveport, and Waymon Shoalmire of Mansfield; four sisters, Eula
Bolen of Converse, Annie Sistrunk of New Orleans, Odessa Graham
of Keani, Alaska, and Opal Sandifer of Alamogordo, N. M.; and
seven grandchildren.
