Shoalmire, 93, of Converse, were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, September 16, at the First Baptist Church of Converse. Rev. James Miller officiated, assisted by Rev. Walter Haley. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery near Converse. Arrangements were under the directions of Drewett Funeral Home in Mansfield. She died Monday afternoon, Sept. 13, at DeSoto General Hospital in Mansfield, after a long illness. Mrs. Shoalmire, a lifelong resident of Converse, born in Belmont, was a housewife. She is survived by two sons, R. R. (Jack) Shoalmire of Shreveport, and Waymon Sam Shoalmire of Mansfield; four daughters, Mrs. Eula Bolin of Converse, Mrs. Opal Sandifer of Alamogordo, N. M., Mrs. Odessa Graham of Kenai, Alaska, and Mrs. Annie Sistrunk of Marrero; 17 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.
