George "Hamp" Simpson

  Mr. George "Hamp" Simpson, 88, died at Sabine Medical Center in
Many, on March 8, 1989.

  Services were held at Calvary Baptist Church, on Friday, March
10, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Bobby Dye, and Rev. Joe Ratcliff
officiating. Burial was at Many Cemetery, under the direction of
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors include his wife, Irene Simpson of Many; three
daughters, Dorothy Hinson of Many, Johnnie Miller and husband, W.
R. of Many, and Sybil Campbell and husband Lee of Houston, Tex.;
three step daughters, Rose Tarpley of Robeline, Alice Parker of
Bastrop, and Dorothy Wheeler of Pineville; two brothers, J. E.
Simpson of Many, H. E. Simpson of Many; three sisters, Lurline
Adams of Dry Prong, La., Pinkye Mitchell of Many, and Laura
Flenniken of Many; seven grandchildren; and ten great
grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; and a host of
nieces and nephews.
