The Sabine Index - Delbert Samples

  27 Feb 1959 - Lt. Delbert Samples, age 23, a jet pilot
instructor, was killed in a plane crash in Alabama Saturday, Feb
21, as he was on a routine flight from Chicago to Georgia. Mr.
Samples was the husband of Carolyn Morris Samples, the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. George Rice and after the death of her mother,
she was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. George Morris of Springfield,
Ore. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Ada Salter and the late
Ross Salter and Mr. and Mrs. I. J. Rice of Florien.

  Funeral services for Mr. Samples will be held Feb. 28 in
Springfield, Ore. Besides his wife he is survived by one
daughter, Kelly Samples.
