Hospital, after a long illness. Services were held Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 10 a.m., in the Mangum Chapel, with the Rev. Randle McCoy officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park. Survivors include his widow; Mae Sample of Shelbyville; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Green of Tyler, and Lorelei Sample of Shelbyville; four sons, P. O. Sample, and Ronald Sample, both of Shelbyville, Douglas Sample of Pittsburgh, and Donald Sample of Sherman; four sisters, Mrs. Nennie Brown of Joaquin, Mrs. Attassie Weeks of Marthaville, La., Mrs. Atta Atkians of Lufkin, and Mrs. Mae Green of Tucson, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
