Robert P. Sims

  Robert P. sims, 18, of Mansfield, died on Tuesday, July 15, at
5:30 a.m., in Shreveport, after an extended illness.

  Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 17, at 2 p.m., in
Nolan Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Fred Salter officiating.
Burial was in the Springridge Cemetery, under the direction of
WEarren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sims of
Mansfield; 4 brothers, Virgil W. Sims, Bobby Wayne Sims, Randy
Sims, and Jerry Sims, all of Mansfield; 5 sisters, Mrs. Kathryn
Leone of Shreveport, Frances Louise Sims, Jackie Marie Sims,
Brenda Sue Sims, and Sandy Sims, all of Mansfield; 5 half
brothers, Jack T. Sims, Johnny Sims, Alfred Sims, all of
Mansfield, J. W. Hammond of Mansfield, and Victor Leon Davis of
Jackson, Ark.; 3 half sisters, Betty Jean Freemeirs of Arizona,
Faye Cooper, and Susie Johnsn, both of Arkansas, and his maternal
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Cooper of Arkansas.
