  Willie B. Sims - November 15, 1973

  Willie B. Sims, 75, of Natchitoches died on Monday, Nov. 12, at
5:30 p.m. after an extended illness.

  He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sarah Sims of Natchitoches;
two sons, Robert Sims and Wilbert Sims, both of Hobbs, New
Mexico; seven daughters, Lucille Hall. Cora Gass and Louvina
Lester, all of Natchitoches, Edba Rhodes of Shreveport, Orene
Gass, Myrtis Gilcrease and Audrey Wedgeworth, all of Hobbs, New
Mixico; three brothers Frank Sims of Robeline, Jessie Sims of
Shreveport and Felix Sims of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. Bart
Crenshaw of Many and Mrs. Mert Broadway of Many; 23 grandchildren
and 15 great grandchildren.

  The body laid in state at the Union Grove Methodist Church near
Robeline until service time on Wednesday, Nov 14.

  The funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. by the Rev.
Ronald Nations and Rev. Otis Shumate. Burial was in the Shamrock
Cemetery under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
