Officiating was Rev. Junior Mitchell. Interment was at Lambertown Cemetery near Robeline, under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Mr. Sims passed away Friday, Nov. 15, at his residence. He was a native of Robeline; U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict, and a roughneck for the oil field business. He is survived by four sons, Timothy Ray Lope of Shreveport, Jessie Sims of Coushatta, Brian Keith Sims of Bossier City, Charles Ray Sims of Shreveport; five daughters, Theresia Shoemaker of Robeline, Vicki Sims of Carrizozo, N. M., Patricia Oxley of Robeline, Patsy Sims, also of Robeline, Jennifer Sims of Corpus Christi, Tex.; two sisters, Artie Mae Flores of Tyler, and Dorothy Kidd of Benton; three brothers, Ruben Sims of Natchitoches, Billy L. Sims of Robeline, and Louis Sims of Haughton; 28 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
