Sarah Singletary

  Mrs. Sarah Singletary, 99, of Florien, died at her home in the
Plainview community on Sunday, Sept. 17, at 9:30 a.m., following
a short illness.

  Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Minnie Masters of Florien;
one brother, Jim Gibson of Natchitoches; 9 grandchildren; 26
great grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren; two
great-great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and
nephews.

  Funeral services were held at the Plainview Baptist Church on
Monday, Sept. 18, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Marvin Brown, the Rev.
Glen Flenniken, and the Rev. Jerry Masters officiating. Burial
was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren
Meadows Funeral Home.
