Richard Singleton of Garden City, Long Island, New York, son of Mrs. John A. Singleton, died of a coronary thrombosis, at 10:30 a.m., on June 18th, at Franklin, Louisiana. Mr. Singleton was the husband of the former Marguerite Pecot of Franklin. The arrived from New York on June 15th to visit Mrs. Singleton's mother, Mrs. L. O. Pecot, and to attend the wedding of their niece, Miss Carol Ann Cram, to Dr. William R. Hardcastle, on June 20th. Mr. Singleton was due to arrive in Many, on June 21, for a visit with his mother and sister, Mrs. Chet Hoagland. His wife was expected later in the month. Funeral services were conducted from Iberts Funeral Home in Franklin at 3:00 p.m. on June 19, with religious rites at the First Methodist Church. Interment was in the Franklin Cemetery. Mr. Singleton, 56, was born at Baton Rouge. He was graduated from LSU in 1932, and was a member of Theta Xi Fraternity. A resident of New York since 1945, Mr. Singleton was a cost specialist in the Foreign Marketing, Planning, and Research Division of Standard Oil Co. (N. J.). He had been in the employ of the company for 36 years. Mr. Singleton is survived by his widow; his mother; and his sister.
