Clara H. Shoemaker

  Mrs. Clara H. Shoemaker, 74, of Robeline, died in Pleasant Hill,
March 13, at 2 p.m., after an extended illness.

  She is survived by her husband, the Rev. John Elmer Shoemaker of
Robeline; two brothers, Harrison Jenkins of Coldwater, La., and
Lee Jenkins of Orange, Tex.; four sisters, Mrs. Augusta Durr of
Marthaville, Mrs. Adline Dougharty of Bon Weir, Tex., Mrs. Susan
McMullan of Port Neches, Tex., and Mrs. Mary Jordan of Robeline.

  Funeral services were held at the Union Grove Congregational
Methodist church, with the Rev. W. E. Forsyth, and Lola Lane
officiating. Burial was in the Shamrock Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  The body was taken to the home near Robeline, to lie in state
until the time of services.
