Services were at 2 p.m., in Hickory Grove Methodist Church, with the Rev. Donald Doggett, and the Rev. J. D. McNeal officiating. Burial was in the Shamrock Cemetery. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth C. Shoemaker of Robeline, his stepmother, Mrs. Winnie Shoemaker Bimer of Bentley; five sons, Clyde Shoemaker, Raymond Shoemaker, Bobby Shoemaker, Clifford Shoemaker, and Kenny Shoemaker, all of Robeline; two daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Ensinger of Natchitoches, and Mrs. Ruthie Taylor of Robeline; six sisters, Mrs. Mary Alice Murray, and Mrs. Lucille Carnline, both of Robeline, Mrs. Nonie Loftin, and Mrs. Loretta Rambin, both of Natchitoches, Mrs. Ellen Lewis of Lafayette, and Mrs. Ester Campbell of Belmont; six brothers, Elmer Shoemaker, and Joe Shoemaker, both of Robeline, J. C., Shoemaker, and Julius Shoemaker, both of Coushatta, Wiley Shoemaker of Andrews, Texas, and Hoyt Shoemaker of Hobbs N. M.; and three grandchildren.
