Burial was held in Lamberton Cemetery, at Shamrock, under the direction of Rockett-Nettles, Coushatta. Shoemaker, 88, of Robeline, died at 7:35 p.m., Monday, in Natchitoches Long Leum Care Unit. He was a retired sharecropper and farmer. He was a deacon, and a member of Union Grove Congregational Methodist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Geraldine Shoemaker, Mary Dockens, and Rosie Rawls, all of Robeline; two sons, Ottis Shoemaker of Robeline, and George Shoemaker of Marthaville; two brothers, J. C. Shoemaker, both of Coushatta; his stepmother, Winnie Brimer of Natchitoches; three half sisters, Loretta Beal of Natchitoches, Esther Campbell of Belmont, and Ellen Lewis of Lafayette; one half brother, Hoyt Shoemaker of Hobbs; twenty six grandchildren; forty five great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
