Mrs. Gertie Smith

  Mrs. Gertie Smith, 87, of Many died at her residence Friday, April 17.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 19 at Friendship Nazarene Church
with interment following at Fort Jessup Cemetery. The Rev. Dan Mappus officiated.

  Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Tabor of Many, Joye Parish of Marshall,
Texas and Carolyn Steele of Shreveport; two sisters, Iris French of Robeline and Lucille
Tibbits of Natchitoches; one brothers, Ivy Veuleman of Robeline; five grandchildren;
10 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Smith was
preceded in death by her husband, Tom Smith and one grandson, Bruce Tabor.

  Pallbearers were Stanley Tabor, Phillip Steele, Buddy Tabor, John Parish, Jr., Nick
Summerlin and Bill Steele.
