Houston Smith

  Houston Smith, 71, of Pineville, died at 11:05, Saturday, Aug.
17, in Rapides General Hospital.

  He is survived by two sons, Lamar Smith of Albuquerque, N. M.,
and Hugh Smith, address unknown; three daughters; Mrs. Thelma
Roth of Pollock, Mrs. Madie Lynn Mitchell of McDade, Tex., and
Mrs. Jeanie Lowery of Pasadena, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Madie
Lyons of Florien, and Mrs. Maudie Lee Hamm of Irving, Tex.; 14
grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, in the chapel of
Rush Funeral, Pineville. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
