Roy S. Smith Sr.

  Services for Roy S. Smith Sr., 85, a former Vivian resident,
were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 14, in the Rose-Neath
Funeral Home, Marshall Street chapel, with the Rev. S. W.
Caraway, pastor of St. Paul United Methodist Church of Monroe,
officiating. Burial was in Forest Park.

  A native of Robeline, Mr. Smith died at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 11,
in New Iberia Hospital, following a brief illness
