Almond H. Smith

  Almond Herbert Smith, 51, of Longview, Tex., formerly of
Anacoco, died Feb. 22.

  Services were at 1 p.m., Feb. 25, at Hixson Funeral Home Chapel,
Leesville. The Rev. Lloyd T. Ozment officiated. Burial was in
Beech Grove Cemetery, Anacoco.

  Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Joyce E. Parkington,
and Mrs. Cathy F. Brown, both of Longview, Tex.; two foster sons,
William Louis Hunter Henderson, Tex., and William Lynn Hunter,
Longview, Tex.; five brothers, Thomas E. Smith, and Roy Smith,
both of Leesville, Charlie Smith, Hornbeck, Joe W. Smith, Bon
Weir, Tex., and Herschel Smith, Orange, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs.
Velma Shell, Leesville; and Mrs. Gladys Simmons, Evans, and two
grandchildren.
