The Sabine Index - L. C. Smith

  15 Jun 1956 - L. C. Smith, 42, died at his home Wednesday
morning of a self inflicted gunshot wound.

  According to a statement to Sheriff Phillips, by his wife,
Mrs. Smith, her husband had no apparent motive for killing
himself.

  Smith, a lineman and meter reader with the Central
Louisiana Electric Co., left for work about 7:30 a.m. and
appeared in good spirits to his fellow workers authorities said.

  L. C. will be greatly missed in his work, among his
friends and fellow workers. He is survived by his wife and three
children, Louis, Jr., 16, Mike, 8, and Debbie 4.
