James P. Smith

  Funeral services for James P. Smith, 72, of Many, were held
Friday, Oct. 19, at 10 a.m. in the Little Flock Baptist Church,
with the Rev. Guy Burr, and the Rev. Elcie Walker officiating.
Burial followed in the Little Flock Cemetery, under the direction
of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Serving as pallbearers were area Masons.

  Mr. Smith died Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 10:05 a.m., at Fraser
Hospital South, following an extended illness.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mildred Smith of Many; two
sons, Robert Smith of New Orleans, and James Smith of Many; and
two grandchildren.
