Funeral services were held at the Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday, July 6, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Holliday officiating. Burial was in the Ft. Jesup Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Pallbearers were James Cotton, Oscar Lambert, Bob Clark, Younger Stewart, Kenneth McCormic, and Willard DeWitt. Surviving relatives are her father, Henry Simmons of Mansfield; four brothers, Hubert Simmons, Dock Simmons, and Kirk Simmons of Natchitoches, and Burk Simmons of Provencal; four sisters, Muscette Manasco, and Dessie Woodle of Robeline, Stella Slaid of Mansfield, and Myrtle Jennings of Natchitoches, and numerous nieces and nephews.
