W. C. Hall Jr. officiating. Burial was in the Sibley Cemetery of Florien, under the direction of the Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. Mr. Smith died on Tuesday, March 17, in his home. He was a Houston resident for 26 years, and was employed by Fish Engineering as Chief Design Engineer. He was a member of the Canterbury United Methodist Church of ?, Tex., and was past president of the Fish Credit Union. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Paula N. Smith of Houston; his father, Cecil C. Smith, and stepmother, Maddie L. Smith, both of Florien; three daughters, Melissa Anne Smith, Christina Alayne Jacobson, and Marion Lynette Jacobson, all of Houston; one son, Todd Gerald Smith of Houston, a sister, Doris Edwards of Houston; two brothers, Wendell Travis Smith of Irving, Tex., and Carl Coleman Smith of Center, Tex.; and several nieces and nephews.
