Smith 21 Feb 1941 - Mrs. Margaret H. Smith, wife of Henry W. Smith of Florien, died in Fraser sanitarum, Many, Monday, February 17. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Smith is survived by one son, Richard S. Smith; three daughters, Sara Beth, Lella and Ailene Smith; one sister, Mrs. J. T. Morgan of High Point, N. C.; five brothers, C. C. Horney of Farmer, N. C., W. A., J. E., J. U. and T. R. Horney of High Point, N. C. Before her marriage in 1914, Mrs. Smith was a successful teacher in the public school system of North Carolina. Since that time she has been a devoted wife, mother and fried, having been able to gain friends in every community in which she lived. Mrs. Smith was a loyal member of the Methodist church and has always taken a sincere interest in church and Sunday school work. At the time of her death she was president of the Womens Society of Christian Service of Prospect Methodist church and teacher of the junior class of Prospect Sunday school. The funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. W. D. Gray, assisted by Rev. R. T. Pynes, Rev. C. W. Williams, and Rev. J. D. Scott, with arrangements being handled by Dennis-Green funeral home. The floral offering was beautiful and expressive of the esteem in which Mrs. Smith was held. Active pallbearers were Jarvis Westbrook, W. L. Westbrook, D. S. Leach, M. M. Leach, W. T. Sibley and T. W. Conerly. Long list of honorary pallbearers.
