Lucien Garritt Smith, Jr.

  Mr. Lucien Garritt Smith, Jr., of Many, died Sunday, Dec. 6, at
6:45 p.m., at L.S.U. Medical Center in Shreveport. He was 57.

  Funeral services were held for Mr. Smith, Wednesday, Dec. 9, at
10 a.m., at Aimwell Baptist Church, with Rev. Charles Duncan, and
Rev. Vernon Stephenson officiating. Interment was at Aimwell
Cemetery.

  He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Bobbie Smith of Many; three
sons, John C. Smith of Jarreau, Sammy R. Jackson of Cypress,
Tex., and Milton R. Jackson of Gonzales; a daughter, Faye Brannon
of Vicksburg, Miss.; his father, L. G. Smith Sr., of Lake
Charles; a sister, Alice Ballard of Lake Charles; a nephew, Bryan
Smith of Leesville; and eight grandchildren.
