Lawrence "Bill" Smith

  Services were conducted at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, Hwy
80 East, Bossier City, for Mr. Lawrence "Bill" Smith, 81, of
Bossier City, Monday, May 19, at 10:30 a.m. Officiating were the
Rev. Wayne Harper, pastor of Bossier Missionary Baptist Church,
and the Rev. Joe Clement, pastor of Central Baptist Church.
Interment was in Hill Crest Memorial Park.

  Mr. Smith entered into rest, May 16, 1986, in Bossier Medical
Center, following a lengthy illness. He had been a resident of
this area for most of his life.

  He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence Smith of Bossier
City; three daughters, Mrs. Juanita Hinton of Bossier City, Mrs.
Billie Jo Lopez of West Lake Village, Calif., and Mrs. Clarine
Woodard of Bossier City; one sister, Gertrude Talley of
Mooringsport; two brothers, Alton Smith of Converse, La., and J.
C. Smith of Sarepta, La.; ten grandchildren; and nine great
grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Mike Brown, Glen Lopez, Steven Lopez, Roford
Benson, Greg Hallmark, and James Dunbar.
