Mrs. Bertie Christine Smith

  Mrs. Bertie Christine Smith, 85, died on February 17, in
Huntsville, Tex.

  Funeral services were held at the United Pentecostal Church, on
Feb. 19, 1987, at 2 p.m., with Rev. C. J. Walea officiating.
Burial was at Ft. Jesup Cemetery, under the direction of Warren
Meadows Funeral Home.

  She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Sledge of Huntsville,
Tex.; four sisters, Fronie Mitchell of Fisher, Rebecca Davis, and
Gatha Evans, both of Shreveport, and Helen Harvey of Orange,
Tex.; one brother, Leroy Moran of Shreveport; stepmother, Bernice
Constable of Shreveport; seven grandchildren; four great
grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
