  Mrs. Ray Smith - November 1, 1973

  Mrs. Ray Smith, 65, died Thursday, Oct. 25.

  Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday in the First Baptist
Church with the Rev. Bobby McCollough officiating. Burial was in
the Mitchell Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home
of Leesville.

  Survivors include her husband; one son, Lewayne Miers of
Anacoco; two daughters, Mrs. Vera Jett of Anacoco and Mrs. Connie
Fox of Pasadena, Tex.; four brothers, Mack Loftin of Florien,
Neil Loftin of Florien, Jessie Loftin of Hornbeck and Lonnie
Loftin of Many; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Snell of Hornbeck; and
nine grandchildren.
