Mrs. Emma Rodgers Smith

  Services for Mrs. Emma Rodgers Smith, 99, of Mansfield, were
held at 3 p.m., Sunday, February 3, at the Rose-Neath Funeral
Home in Mansfield, with the Rev. Garthel Burr officiating. Burial
was in Magnolia Cemetery in the Hunter Community.

  Mrs. Smith died Saturday, February 2, at the Heritage Manor
Nursing Home in Mansfield, following a lengthy illness. She was a
native of Centerville, Texas, and was a former resident of the
Hunter Community. She was a member of the Community Bible Church
in Mansfield, and was a homemaker.

  She is survived by four daughters, Annie Bell Temple of Hunter,
Minnie Temple of Hunter, Fannie Tatum of Nederland, Texas, Clara
Davis and her husband Elmer of Logansport; one sister, Berta
Vaston of Mansfield; one brother, Jimmy Rodgers and his wife
Trudy of Many; seventeen grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren;
50 great-great grandchildren; 1 great-great-great grandchild. She
is survived by 117 direct descendants.

  Pallbearers were Terrell Temple, Benoyd Temple, Glen Davis,
Wayne Davis, Pete Tatum, and William Roe.
