Myrtle McConathy Smith

  Graveside services for Myrtle McConathy Smith, 86, of Mena,
Ark., were held Friday, Jan. 19, 1997, at 2 p.m. Officiating was
Rev. Marvin Miles.

  Mrs. Smith died Wednesday, Jan. 15, in Mena, Ark.

  She is survived by 5 stepsons, W. R. Smith Jr. of Cress, Texas,
Howard Smith of Mena, Ark., Lynn Ray Smith of Lockney, Texas, Joe
D. Smith of Mena, Ark., and Ernest D. Smith of San Antonio,
Texas; 2 sisters, Versie Garrett of Houston, Texas, and Jean
Miller of DeRidder; 2 brothers, Herman McConathy of Florien, and
Hershal McConathy of Highland Ranch, Colo.; a host of
grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
