Funeral services were held May 18, at 2 p.m., at San Patricio Baptist Church of Converse. Graveside services followed at Converse Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Hannigan, Father Kenneth Williams of St. Ann's, and St. Catherine Catholic Church, assisted. Survivors include three daughters, Louella Madiar of Converse, Maggie Rae Sanchez of Bossier City, Mary Ann Schwartzropf of Largo, Fla.; four sons, Truett Brown of Converse, David Brown of Many, John Henry Brown of Brandon, Miss., Jimmy Brown of Gulfport, Miss.; two sisters, ? Esters, and Edna Manshack; and brother, John Ebarb, all of Converse. She is also survived by half brothers, Lennis Manshack of Converse, and Joe Doug Manshack of Zwolle; 18 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Paul Brown; and grandson, James (Key) Remedies Sr. Pallbearers were Timothy, and Danny Sanchez, Nolan Hickes, Ryan Ebarb, Johnny Paddie, and Charlie Tewalt.
