Robert W. Smith

  Robert W. Smith, 33, of Converse, died Saturday, Jan. 15, in a
Shreveport hospital, after a lengthy illness.

  Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, in the Union
Springs Baptist Church, with the Rev. Paul Ferrand officiating.
Burial was in the Union Springs Cemetery, under the direction of
the Drewett Funeral Home of Mansfield.

  Survivors include his widow; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene
Smith of Converse; five brothers, Dewey Smith of Logansport,
Ruddard Smith, Grady Smith, Roy Smith, and Ray Smith, all of
Converse; three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Allen of Alpine, N. J., Mrs.
Gene Crimer of Lafayette, and Miss Joyce Smith of Converse.
