Smith of St. Louis, Mo., a fine fellow, and a true southern gentleman, died Jan. 12. He was 86. He, at one time, lived at Ft. Jesup. The Rev. Smith retired from the ministry in 1951, after 42 years in the St. Louis Methodist Conference. He and the former Miss Edith Harris, were married in 1911. Other survivors are two sons, Thomas E. Jr. of St. Louis, and Don E. of Livonia, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Sam Sloneker of Plainview, Tex., and Mrs. Maggie Cherry of Santa Monica, Calif.; and a host of nieces and nephews, many of them living in the Many area. Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 13, in St. Louis, with burial Saturday, Jan. 14, in Morley, Mo.
