Sandifer, 61, of Shreveport, died Sunday, Dec. 3, in Schumpert Medical Center, after a long illness. The Robeline native had been a resident of Shreveport 30 years. He was a retired mechanic for Sunbeam Bakery, and a member of the South Acres Baptist Church. Mr. Sandifer is survived by five sons, Earl Sandifer, Jerry Sandifer, Jimmy Sandifer, and Johnny Sandifer, all of Shreveport, and Billy Sandifer of Homer; five sisters, Lula Mae Barrett, Pearl Brown, and Listerine Hinton, all of Shreveport, Mrs. Macy Litton of Pasadena, Texas, and Evelyn Brumley of Blanchard; two brothers, J. B. Sandifer, and Izic Sandifer, both of Shreveport; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, in Rose-Neath Funeral Home's Southside Chapel. Officiating was the Rev. Tim Walsh, pastor of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of West Monroe, and the Rev. Darell Whitten, pastor of the South Acres Baptist Church. A 2 p.m. service was held at the Old Pisgah Baptist Church in Marthaville. Burial was in the Old Pisgah Cemetery. Pallbearers were Johnnie Ray Sandifer, Paul Pollard, Ronnie Cummings, Ronnie Sandifer, Huey Wyatt, and Gary Sandifer.
