The Rev. Crawford Williams, pastor of Ingleside Baptist Church, where Mrs. Sandifer was a member, officiated. Burial was in Central Cemetery in Robeline. Mrs. Sandifer, a homemaker and resident of Shreveport since 1940, died Friday, Sept. 12, 1986, at Willis-Knighton Medical Center. She was born in Sabine Parish, La., the oldest of nine children born to John Silas Woodel and Rosa Lee Van Veckhoven Woodel. She is survived by three daughters, Thelma Edwards of Shreveport, Ruby Neal of Logansport, Daisy Wilson and husband A. C. Wilson Jr. of Mabank, Tex.; three sisters, Edna Cordaway, Bessie Floyd, and Mertie Davis of Robeline; 7 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were George Clary, Charles Clary, Joe Williamson, Marvin Davis, Tommy Floyd, Elzie Woodel, Glenn Sandifer, and Warren Woodel. Honorary pallbearer was Francis Reed "Bo" Woodel.
