Sandifer, 53, of Shreveport, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, in Shreveport, after a short illness. Services were held Feb. 29, at the Old Pisgah Baptist Church, with the Rev. G. C. Burley officiating. Interment was in the Old Pisgah Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mabel Sandifer of Shreveport; three sons, Leon E. Sandifer Jr. of Fort Worth, Tex., Doyle Wayne Sandifer of Many, and Ronnie Davis Sandifer of Shreveport; three daughters, Mrs. Gracie Wyatt of Waskom, Tex., Mrs. Glenda Ferguson, and Mrs. Fay Olliff, both of Shreveport; also his father, David Sandifer of Pleasant Hill; three brothers, J. B., Clyde, and Isaac Sandifer, all of Shreveport; five sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Burnley, Lula Mae Wyatt, Mrs. Hollis Litton, Pearl Brown, and Mrs. Lesterine Hinton, all of Shreveport; and 11 grandchildren.
