Jessie O. Sandel, Sr.

  Funeral servics for Jessie O. Sandel Sr., 87, of Florien were held at Prospect Methodist
Church April 16, with the Rev. A. H. Hoffpauir officiating. Burial was in Prospect Cemetery
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.

  Sandel died April 14 in Shreveport after an extended illness.

  Surviving relatives include his wife, Mrs. Alice Sandel of Florien; three sons, the Rev.
E. W. Sandel of West Monroe, Johnson Sandel and Jessie O. Sandel Jr., both of Florien; four
daughters, Mrs. Hugh Flagg of Lonview, Tex., Mrs. H. D. Haun of Haughton, Mrs. Theophile
Scott of Natchitoches, and Miss Daisy Sandel of Shreveport; two brothers, M. A. and I. W.
Sandel, both of Florien; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Bush of Florien, Mrs. Lizzie Clawson, and
Mrs. Emerline Curtis, both of Hornbeck; 21 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

  Sandel was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Monroe Sandel, poineer residents of Sabine
Parish.
