Funeral services were held at the Warren Meadows Chapel, and the Mitchell Baptist Church, Tuesday, April 3, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. T. J. Crosby, and the Rev. Johnny Crocker at the chapel, and the Rev. Robert Graham at the Mitchell Baptist Church. Interment was in the Mitchell Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Eura Mae Sandel of Many; two sons, G. Leon Sandel of Slidell, and Wendall A. Sandel of Houston; seven daughters, Mrs. Leon Elizey of Arlngton, Mrs. L. W. Hebert of Sulphur, Mrs. Paula DiGiglia of Lake Charles, Mrs. Calvin Murrell of Sulphur, Mrs. James Pevoto of Lake Jackson, Mrs. Bert Ortego of Beaumont, and Mrs. Ritchell Caldwell of Sulphur; three brothers, Ester Sandel of Big Springs, Tex., Floyd Sandel of Oakdale, and Ralph Sandel of Pecos, Tex., 26 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
